In May 2021, Katherina underwent routine shoulder surgery, unaware of the life-altering events that would follow. Within days, Katherina developed pulmonary embolisms and faced a series of health challenges, including an unruptured brain aneurysm.

Despite the odds stacked against her, Katherina's determination to recover led her through months of healing and medical procedures. She faced the uncertainty that comes with an aneurysm diagnosis, navigated through the fog of brain injuries and migraines, and worked tirelessly on her rehabilitation.
